German producer, DJ and record label owner Dennis Sheperd has kicked off what could possibly be the biggest remix contest in trance history. He invites all producers to remix one or multiple of the 10 originals taken from his second artist album, “Fight Your Fears”. With the deadline set on December 1st, he gives rising talents and bedroom producers a chance to prove themselves and win a release on his very own label “A Tribute To Life”.
Dennis successfully released the first and fully crowd-funded trance album, including collaborations with Katty Heath, Christina Novelli, Sylvia Tosun, Molly Bancroft and more, in April this year. Contestants of the remix contest can send in one contribution per track, but are allowed to remix multiple tracks and thus submit multiple entries.
Amongst the tracks to be remixed are Sheperd’s previous singles “Starlight” featuring Christina Novelli, “Where I Begin” featuring Katty Heath, “We Are” featuring Sylvia Tosun and instrumentals like “Summer”, “Neocortex” and “Two Worlds”.
The contest is no popularity vote though and therefore its entries may not be shared online, as Dennis Sheperd is the only judge to decide which 10 remixes deserve a spot on the upcoming Remix album.
The winners will be announced on December 16th 2015 via Dennis Sheperd’s Facebook Page. The ten winning remixes will be released on the “Fight Your Fears” Remix album. The release of the this album is planned early on in 2016.
