For the 1st episode in 2015 we have one of our favorite producers as guest: Italy’s Gai Barone!
Gai has rightfully earned his place leading figures in the progressive house and trance scene. His passion for all kinds of music has seen him score hits across progressive, techno, trance… supported by industry giants like Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Solarstone, Gabriel & Dresden and Paul Van Dyk!
DJing since the 90’s, Barone’s sound has moved with the times, yet firmly stayed within the underground. First hitting the big time with ‘Lilith’ on Afterglow in 2008, he’s made appearances on some of the world’s biggest imprints, including Coldharbour Recordings, Perfecto Records, Songbird, Re*Brand and Armada! Remixing names like Grube & Hovsepian, Ruben De Ronde, Airwave and Wellenrausch, Gai’s ascent continues with hits „Mr. Slade“ (the only track which made it into our retroperspective in 2(!!!) years), „Voices Inside My Head“, „Eve“ or „Metal Jaws“ ! Expect a wonderful journey between deeper beats and trance!
