Two artists who have defined the uplifting end of the label’s output in recent years, Genix (Damion Houchen) and Sunny Lax (Levi Márton) join forces for their first collaborative release, the double A-side ‘Black Water’ and ‘Seven’.
The pair have reached new highs in their solo careers over the last 12 months, with Genix’s ever expanding global tour diary including an Australian run and shows alongside Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond, while Sunny Lax scored his first Beatport trance number 1 with the exhilarating ‘Enceladus’.
Having become firm friends during their time touring North America together, ‘Black Water’ and ‘Seven’ are two organic collaborations. Taking its name from the drink of choice on tour, ‘Black Water’ pairs Damo’s club drive with the subtle vocals and rich chords that have become a trademark of Levi’s work. Equally as euphoric, the pulsing synth lead and chunky groove of ‘Seven’ offer a darker club alternative.
