Aaron Hibell & Alex Wann’s “Set Me Free”, released on Astralwerks on September 27, 2024, brings together cinematic Trance melodies and the deep rhythmic character of Afro House. Featuring vocals by Paige Cavell, the collaboration combines Hibell’s atmospheric production approach with Wann’s groove-driven sound, creating an emotional crossover between two different corners of electronic music. Originally issued as a standalone single, the track later appeared on Hibell’s debut album SYNCHRONICITY.
The trance-infused melodies layered over driving dance rhythms create an anthemic atmosphere, while maintaining an emotional depth that resonates with listeners. Hibell expressed his excitement about the release, stating, “I love when a collab is a perfect blend of both artist’s styles, and I think this song is exactly that.” Fans of both artists will likely agree, as the track delivers on all fronts.
With “Set Me Free,” Aaron Hibell solidifies his place as one of the most exciting producers in 2024, continuing to push boundaries while staying true to his signature sound.
