Some Trance classics do not just bring back a sound — they bring back an entire feeling. Back in 1997, Nalin & Kane’s “Beachball” defined the sound of endless summer nights and Balearic bliss. The tension. The siren. That unmistakable riff. Released in 1999, Chicane’s “Saltwater” remains one of trance music’s most beautiful creations: Nick Bracegirdle’s sun-soaked production, the haunting voice of Máire Brennan and the Celtic soul of Clannad’s “Theme From Harry’s Game”. Released in 1998 on Kosmo Records, “Pulverturm” fused a pounding, almost techno-like drive with a menacing, siren-like lead that could cut through any dancefloor. It needed no conventional vocal hook—once that riff arrived, everyone knew what was coming. 24 years later, and this intro still gives us goosebumps. Echo Sax Finale One of those legendary rave moments when the music, the crowd, and the pure madness of the era became one. As that twisted acid line climbs higher and higher, every face in the field shares the same story: complete surrender to the sound. More than three decades later, Sunbeam's “Outside World” still feels like a message from another dimension.
