Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy reached another major milestone with ABGT700 at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington. Across three days from September 11–13, 2026, the Anjuna family moved from Above & Beyond’s traditional Deep Set through the main Group Therapy 700 celebration and into Anjunadeep Open Air. TranceAttack is following the standout sets, new music, IDs and stories that emerged from the weekend as official recordings and further details continue to arrive.

Group Therapy 700 returns to The Gorge
There are regular Group Therapy episodes, there are milestone shows — and then there is The Gorge.
For ABGT700, Above & Beyond returned to The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, a venue that has become deeply connected with the modern history of the Anjuna community. The three-day programme began with Friday’s official pre-party, continued with the main Group Therapy 700 event on Saturday and closed with Anjunadeep Open Air on Sunday.
It also brought a numbered ABGT milestone back to the venue where ABGT250 took place in 2017. The Gorge subsequently became the North American home of the wider Group Therapy Weekender concept, making ABGT700 feel as much like a return as a new chapter.
More importantly, the weekend brought the different sides of the Anjuna universe together. Anjunadeep, Anjunabeats, progressive music and Trance are not presented as isolated worlds, but as parts of the same musical journey.
And that journey began with one of Above & Beyond’s most important ABGT traditions.
The Deep Set: the bridge between Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats
The Above & Beyond Deep Set is much more than a warm-up.
Across previous Group Therapy milestones, these sets have become a defining part of the ABGT experience. They offer Above & Beyond the space to explore the deeper and more progressive end of their musical spectrum before the energy gradually moves towards the melodic and Trance-led sound of the main show.
That role makes the Deep Set an important bridge between Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats.
Previous editions at milestones including ABGT250, ABGT300, ABGT350 and ABGT450 demonstrate how naturally Above & Beyond move between both labels in this setting. Tracks from Anjunadeep may dominate the deeper foundation, but Anjunabeats productions and remixes frequently appear as the journey develops.
ABGT700 continues that tradition with one important change in presentation: for the first time in ABGT history, the Deep Set was performed live as part of the official Friday pre-party.
Above & Beyond played the 90-minute set from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Pacific Time at The Meadow, as the opening night set the musical tone for the weekend ahead.
For TranceAttack, it is one of the first ABGT700 performances worth revisiting once the official recording and complete tracklist become available.
Saturday: Group Therapy reached 700
Saturday formed the centrepiece of the weekend.
The scheduled ABGT700 main-stage running order brought together long-standing Anjuna figures with artists currently helping to shape the label’s sound:
- 4:00–5:00 pm — Nourey
- 5:00–6:00 pm — Darren Tate (Live)
- 6:00–7:00 pm — Grum (Live)
- 7:00–8:00 pm — Mat Zo
- 8:00–9:00 pm — Oliver Smith
- 9:00–10:00 pm — J Ribbon
- 10:00 pm–12:00 am — Above & Beyond
- 12:00–1:00 am — ilan Bluestone
The later part of Saturday’s programme was affected by extreme weather conditions at The Gorge. Among the consequences, ilan Bluestone’s planned closing performance was cancelled shortly before his scheduled set time.
From a TranceAttack perspective, several sets immediately stand out.
Oliver Smith remains one of the strongest connections between the classic Anjunabeats catalogue and the label’s current identity. Mat Zo has always existed somewhat outside traditional genre boundaries, while ilan Bluestone had been one of TranceAttack’s most anticipated Trance-focused sets of the weekend before the weather forced its cancellation.
And then there was the main event itself.
Above & Beyond at ABGT700
Above & Beyond’s headline performance formed the focal point of Saturday’s Group Therapy 700 programme.
Milestone ABGT performances have historically been much more than headline festival sets. They are opportunities to introduce forthcoming music, debut new versions of familiar records and provide a snapshot of where Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats are heading next.
That makes the ABGT700 headline set the most obvious place to examine the new music, IDs and future releases that emerged from the weekend.
The important question is therefore not simply which tracks Above & Beyond played. It is which tracks tell us something new.
A previously unheard Above & Beyond production. A major remix. A new Anjunabeats signing. An ID that suddenly becomes one of the talking points of the weekend. Those are the moments that can turn an event livestream into the starting point for the next TranceAttack story.
The ABGT700 sets TranceAttack is watching
The intention of this feature is not to recreate the old model of publishing a separate article for every festival tracklist.
Instead, the sets are sources for stories.
The Above & Beyond Deep Set remains important because of the musical journey it creates between Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats — and its official recording is now available to revisit in full.
The main Above & Beyond performance remains the obvious priority for new music, IDs and future releases.
Oliver Smith remains particularly relevant from a Trance perspective, while the live performances from Darren Tate and Grum offer something considerably different from a conventional festival DJ set. ilan Bluestone had also been one of the main Trance-focused priorities before his planned closing set was cancelled because of the weather.
But the selection remains deliberately open.
If another artist unexpectedly delivers the defining set, premiere or musical moment of ABGT700, that story belongs here too.
A tracklist alone is not enough. A set becomes editorially interesting when it tells us something.
Sunday: Anjunadeep completed the journey
After Saturday’s Group Therapy celebration, Sunday took the weekend fully into Anjunadeep Open Air territory.
The official running order was:
- 3:00–4:00 pm — Leaving Laurel
- 4:00–5:00 pm — Because of Art
- 5:00–6:10 pm — Durante b2b Ezequiel Arias
- 6:10–7:20 pm — James Grant & Jody Wisternoff
- 7:20–8:30 pm — HANA
- 8:30–9:40 pm — Rezident
- 9:40–10:50 pm — Marsh
- 10:50 pm–12:00 am — Ben Böhmer
Almost the entire Anjunadeep programme was streamed live, with Ben Böhmer’s closing performance being the exception.
That Sunday programme completed the musical arc of the weekend.
Friday began with Above & Beyond themselves exploring the deeper end of their musical world. Saturday moved into the central Anjunabeats and Group Therapy celebration. Sunday then gave Anjunadeep an entire day of its own.
It is precisely this relationship that has helped distinguish ABGT weekends from conventional one-night headline shows.
New music, IDs and premieres from ABGT700
This section will continue to be updated as IDs, premieres and forthcoming releases from ABGT700 are officially confirmed.
Milestone Group Therapy shows have traditionally been valuable places to hear forthcoming music before its official release.
TranceAttack will therefore focus on the ABGT700 tracks that have genuine relevance beyond the event itself: significant IDs, new Above & Beyond material, previously unheard remixes, forthcoming Anjunabeats releases and other productions that deserve a closer look.
The aim is not to document every unidentified record as quickly as possible.
The aim is to identify the tracks that matter.
As those records become clearer, they will be added here with the necessary context — and some may develop into separate news stories or full TranceAttack reviews.
ABGT700 live sets and tracklists
Official recordings and selected tracklists are added independently as reliable material becomes available. ABGT700 was streamed across the weekend, beginning with Above & Beyond’s Deep Set on Friday and continuing with the Saturday main-stage programme and Sunday’s Anjunadeep Open Air. As further official recordings, confirmed tracklists and post-event details emerge, this section will continue to grow.
Previous Group Therapy milestones have shown that the livestream is often only the beginning. Individual performances can later appear as official full-set uploads, allowing important sets to be revisited properly and their tracklists, IDs and premieres to be documented with greater confidence.
Not every available set will automatically be added. The focus remains on the performances, tracklists and musical discoveries that contribute something meaningful to the wider ABGT700 story.
Saturday’s programme was also affected by the extreme weather conditions at The Gorge. ilan Bluestone’s planned closing set was cancelled, with the Anjunabeats artist later confirming that he had spent six months preparing new music, new visuals and an entirely new show for ABGT700. Shortly before his scheduled set, however, he was told that he would not be able to perform because of the storm and strong winds.

Why ABGT700 matters
A milestone number alone does not make an event important.
What makes ABGT700 interesting is how many parts of the Above & Beyond and Anjuna story meet in one weekend.
There is the return to The Gorge. There is the long-standing Deep Set tradition. There is the musical relationship between Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats. There are artists whose history with the labels stretches back many years alongside newer names representing where the sound is moving next.
The event itself may be over, but several of its musical stories are only beginning to take shape.
The unreleased track that becomes a forthcoming Anjunabeats release.
The unexpected remix that receives an official release date.
The ID that finally gets a name.
The performance that looks completely different once it can be revisited outside the immediacy of the livestream.
Those are the stories TranceAttack will continue to follow after Group Therapy reached 700.
