Giuseppe Ottaviani takes one of the melodic highlights from Andrew Rayel’s EXTASIA project and gives it exactly what it needs for the main floor. Without sacrificing the emotional identity of the original, his remix of “Dreaming” turns its cinematic Trance foundation into a tighter, more urgent and considerably more powerful club record.
A melody worth preserving
Originally released as part of “EXTASIA – part one”, “Dreaming” already possessed the most important ingredient: a melody strong enough to carry the track without vocals.
That remains the heart of Giuseppe Ottaviani’s remix.
Rather than dismantling Rayel’s original idea in search of something completely different, the Italian producer recognises what works and builds around it. The melancholic undertone remains, as does the sense of elevation running through the central theme. What changes is the way the track reaches its emotional destination.
Same tempo, considerably more urgency
Interestingly, Ottaviani doesn’t need to make “Dreaming” faster. Both the original and remix sit at 138 BPM in A♭ minor.
What changes is the perceived intensity.
The remix places greater emphasis on momentum and the physical side of the record, giving Rayel’s melody a more assertive main-floor environment. The result feels quicker, bigger and more immediate despite operating within exactly the same tempo framework.
It is an excellent example of how arrangement and production can transform the character of a Trance record without changing its fundamental musical DNA.
EXTASIA meets the Ottaviani engine room
And that is ultimately why this pairing works so naturally.
EXTASIA represents the more cinematic and melody-driven side of Andrew Rayel’s sound, while Giuseppe Ottaviani has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to translate emotional melodies into records built for large Trance floors.
“Dreaming” sits neatly between those two worlds.
The remix retains enough space for Rayel’s original theme to breathe, but when the energy arrives, it feels unmistakably designed for the peak-time environment. It is uplifting without becoming formulaic and powerful without overwhelming the melody that made the original worth revisiting in the first place.
From ID to official release
The remix also arrives with some history behind it. First presented anonymously during the Find Your Harmony 500 celebrations in June and subsequently played during Rayel’s EXTASIA performance at Luminosity Beach Festival, the previously unidentified version spent several months circulating before Giuseppe Ottaviani was revealed as the remixer.
One day before release, Rayel chose the track as his Favorite of the Moment on Find Your Harmony Radio.
That journey feels appropriate: “Dreaming” sounds less like an obligatory album remix and more like a version developed specifically for the dancefloor.

Giuseppe Ottaviani doesn’t replace the soul of “Dreaming” — he amplifies it.
The melody remains unmistakably Andrew Rayel and EXTASIA, while the increased drive and more focused arrangement bring Ottaviani’s fingerprints firmly into the equation. Most importantly, neither side overwhelms the other.
It may not be a radical reinterpretation, but it doesn’t need to be. This is a remix that understands precisely what was worth preserving and precisely where additional energy could turn a strong album track into a genuine peak-time Trance weapon.
