Arctic Moon will be our guest in our March episode of “Enter The Arena”. So we took the chance and talked with him about his music and his plans for 2014! Enjoy the reading! 😉

TranceAttack: 2014 has just begun. Let’s take some time to look back. What where your personal highlights in 2013?
Arctic Moon:
2013 was an awesome year. I got to collab with some great names such as Aly & Fila and Bryan Kearney as well as playing some brilliant gigs. There were club shows on every continent around the world but the two that probably stood out the most were ASOT600 and Tomorrowland. It was a dream of mine for a long time to play these events and to actually do so was something i will always remember.

TranceAttack: What can we expect from you in 2014?
Arctic Moon:
A lot of new music – including my first ever vocal tracks – which are close to being finished. I have a collaboration with RAM called “Mirakuru” which will be out very soon on “Future Sound of Egypt”. Gig wise the diary looks a lot like last year, very busy. I’m off on tours to Australia and USA soon and there are plenty more tours in Asia and more booked in and lot of club and festival shows around Europe. It’s going to be another great year for sure.

TranceAttack: Which gigs are already planed in 2014? In which countries will you perform?
Arctic Moon:
I guess I can reveal some locations but not all. I think already we have gigs announced for 2014 in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Poland, UK, Switzerland, Holland, and many more. I’m hoping to do a big Asia Tour later in 2014 like I did in 2013.

TranceAttack: You productions focus on instrumental tracks. Can you tell us details about the vocal tracks you are working on?
Arctic Moon:
Yeah, I’m currently finishing off a vocal track with Los Angeles based singer, Jonny Rose and I’m also working with one or two others which i can’t reveal as yet.

TranceAttack: Are there any ideas for an “Arctic Moon” album?
Arctic Moon:
It is something i have spoken about with my management but it isn’t at the top of my priority list at present. We have said I will start to put some tracks aside in 2014 and maybe look to put an album together in 2015.

TranceAttack: There are a lot movements in the music scene which focus back on the roots of the trance scene – like Solarstone’s “Pure Trance” or Armin van Buuren’s “Who’s afraid of 138!?”. What do you think of these movements?
Arctic Moon:
If we go back to the beginning trance was always more fast paced. Nowadays it seems the fast sound is becoming more cooler and more popular and for someone who produces tracks which are mostly in this style it can only be beneficial to me personally that more and more people are listening to these sounds and more promoters and events are booking artists with this sound.

TranceAttack: What is your opinion on the future of the EDM?
Arctic Moon:
Well I’m not a fan of this “big room, big drop, EDM house”, it’s all very repetitive and just doesn’t do anything for me. However if we are talking about dance music as a whole, i think the future is very bright. If we compare to a few years ago when everything was very underground, dance music has exploded especially with the rise in popularity in America and now electronic dance music is everywhere, radio, clubs, festivals and in cities and towns that a few years ago wouldn’t have touched this form of music. This has lead to a whole new generation of fans and the more people who are exposed to our music and who become fans the better.

TranceAttack: Thanks for the interview and we wish you all the best for the future!
