Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong and Poppy Baskcomb bring one of dance music’s defining turn-of-the-millennium anthems into 2026 with a powerful new version of “Toca’s Miracle”. Released via Ministry of Sound Recordings on September 11, the 134 BPM remake combines unmistakable Trance heritage with contemporary main-floor production and an Ibiza Classics sense of scale.
A dance classic rebuilt for 2026
There are records whose original identity is simply too strong to reinvent completely. “Toca’s Miracle” belongs firmly in that category.
Created from the combination of Fragma’s “Toca Me” and the vocal of “I Need A Miracle”, the original became one of the defining crossover Trance records of its era. In April 2000, it entered the UK Singles Chart at No. 1 and stayed there for two weeks.
Twenty-six years later, Armin van Buuren and Pete Tong take a refreshingly respectful approach. The recognizable musical identity remains at the heart of the record, but everything around it has been rebuilt with the weight, clarity and scale expected from a contemporary main-floor production.
Trance energy meets Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics world
Pete Tong describes the collaboration as a new Ibiza Classics version of “Toca’s Miracle”, and that description captures the record particularly well.
At 134 BPM, it sits between outright uplifting Trance and modern crossover dance music. There is enough speed and melodic drive to retain the original’s Trance character, but the production is deliberately broad and accessible rather than aggressively underground.
Armin brings the current festival power; Pete Tong provides the historical and Ibiza context. The result feels designed for exactly the moment when recognition turns into collective euphoria.
That potential has already been tested well ahead of release. Armin featured the track on A State Of Trance 1280 before it became the Trending Track on ASOT 1281.
Poppy Baskcomb gives the classic a contemporary voice
Poppy Baskcomb completes the equation.
Rather than treating the vocal simply as another nostalgic element, her performance gives the familiar song a distinctly current identity. Her voice carries the emotional directness the track needs while remaining strong enough to stand against the considerably larger 2026 production surrounding it. She is officially credited on vocals for the new release.
That balance matters. “Toca’s Miracle” has always worked because its emotional vocal and euphoric instrumental seem almost impossibly well matched. The new version understands that relationship instead of trying to outsmart it.
TranceAttack verdict
Remaking “Toca’s Miracle” carries an obvious risk: change too much and the magic disappears; change too little and there is little reason for the remake to exist.
Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong and Poppy Baskcomb find the right middle ground.
The original’s instantly recognizable emotional core remains intact, but the 2026 production gives it enough power, space and contemporary relevance to work as more than nostalgia. It may not radically reinterpret the classic, but that restraint is precisely why it succeeds.
A genuine heritage anthem, respectfully modernized and ready for another generation of dance floors.
