Three decades ago, Paul M, also known as DJ Kid Paul, operating under the alias Energy 52, introduced a track to the world that would subsequently shape the club culture for an entire generation of dance music aficionados. Titled in tribute to the iconic Ibiza sunset location, “Café Del Mar” shattered the barriers between the underground and the mainstream scenes. This track not only secured a place on official singles charts across numerous countries but also clinched the title of “best tune ever” by Mixmag readers for several years. When evaluating its cultural and emotional resonance within the realm of dance music, it becomes challenging to identify a piece that rivals its impact. “Café Del Mar” has evolved into a representation of the utmost euphoric and hedonistic pleasures experienced on dance floors. It has undergone remixes from some of the industry’s most prominent figures, and now it receives yet another fresh remix, courtesy of the French duo Cosmic Boys.

„Once every year, “ say Cosmic Boys, „after we spend a lot of time on tour or in the studio, we are taking some time off to work on ‚just for fun projects, to try new things or just to relax.“ And so this new remix for Café del Mar came to life. „We’ve always been big fans of the DJ Kid Paul Mix (original version) and while we were experimenting with some kick/bass and groove stuff, inspiration for this new remix came and it was big fun to finish the remix.“
