Released in 2002 on Low Spirit Recordings, Members Of Mayday‘s “Culture Flash” captured the energy of Germany’s legendary Mayday rave culture. Produced by WestBam and Klaus Jankuhn as the anthem for Mayday 2002 in Dortmund, the track combines a distinctive, sweeping synth melody with driving Techno rhythms and an unmistakable early-2000s Trance atmosphere. Reaching No. 13 on the German Singles Chart, “Culture Flash” became another memorable chapter in the duo’s anthem catalogue. More than two decades later, it remains a compelling reminder of an era when Trance, Techno and Electro regularly crossed boundaries on Europe’s biggest rave dancefloors.

Created by WestBam and Klaus Jankuhn for Mayday 2002, the track combines a memorable synthesizer theme with a driving, rhythm-focused production.

Rather than following the euphoric Uplifting Trance formula, “Culture Flash” draws its character from the meeting point of Trance, Techno and Electro. Its connection to one of Germany’s most influential rave events makes it a distinctive part of the golden-era electronic music landscape.
