Paul van Dyk has introduced Aurien, a new alias focused on ambient, chill-out and warm electronic music. The project launches alongside Château Bonheur Musique, a new label concept opening with Aurien & Jab Vix’s first release, “Empatia”, released on 19 June 2026.
Aurien was born unexpectedly, out of nowhere and straight into our hearts.
The musical alias Paul van Dyk brings to our delight, as well as the Château Bonheur Musique adventures, drive the imagination into a boundless story of sensibility.
Aurien: Paul van Dyk’s new ambient and chill-out alias
While the artist has primarily released music under his world-famous stage name for over three decades, he has occasionally used aliases for specific projects and collaborations, one of the best – known being The Visions of Shiva, an early 1990s project developed alongside fellow German trance pioneer Harald Blüchel (better known as Cosmic Baby). Under this alias, they released foundational trance classics like “Perfect Day” (1992) and “How Much Can You Take?” (1993).
After a long time, it is exciting to see the Legend presenting some of his perspectives in music from a soft, lounge, chill-out and warm, cinematic ambient side.
As stated by the author, Aurien & Jab Vix: “Empatia” is the first glimpse into the world of Château Bonheur Musique, a place where elegant electronic music, emotion, and atmosphere meet. Each release is a key to a new room, a new mood, an artist’s vision, and a new chapter inside the Château.
Château Bonheur Musique opens with Aurien & Jab Vix’ “Empatia”
“Empatia”, the first chamber unlocked in the castle, brings us a gentle caress and a golden summer feeling, while immersing the listener in a teasing rhythm and the silky texture of the sound.
It feels like the cooling breeze of the waves, gentle drops, a soft touch and rising above the sea, followed by rainbow smiles and the tenderness of uplifting embraces.
The sheer elegance, deep sensibility and love of music, surround us. So do the calm, the freedom of a sensitively crafted sunny musical tapestry, and pure joy.
Maybe it is not by coincidence that the first emotional statement of the Château Bonheur Musique is “Empatia”, which, in a way, means vibing with others.
For those in need of a peaceful refuge and special musical escapes, it is wonderful to listen to all three versions of this release.
A new musical world beyond “Empatia”
Surprises never cease to amaze us, with PVD and his projects. The following chamber on Château Bonheur Musique is KRCL – “The Quest”, taking us to the emotional mightiness of a melodic adventure to the stars. A rising sun and a light veil guide us towards the unbounded sky.
With these first artistic statements, softly revealing elements of artistic finesse in electronic music, we are invited to enjoy the special energy and mastery in creating soundscapes that surprise with their elegance and brightness of the senses.
