Few unreleased tracks receive such a sustained vote of confidence from A State Of Trance. Before its official arrival, Richard Durand and RinatNevo’s “Goodbye My Love” had already progressed from Tune Of The Week to Future Favorite and finally Trending Track across three consecutive episodes. Released through Magik Muzik on August 28th, the completed single confirms why it connected so quickly.

At 138 BPM, “Goodbye My Love” transforms an intimate story of separation into peak-time Vocal Trance. RinatNevo provides the words, voice and emotional perspective; Durand gradually carries them from piano-led vulnerability towards a broad, euphoric release.

RinatNevo Turns a Farewell Into Self-Recovery

“Goodbye My Love” introduces RinatNevo as a distinctive new voice within Vocal Trance, but its emotional weight begins with her songwriting. The lyric was inspired by a conversation with someone close to her who was experiencing a relationship crisis. Rather than concentrating only on the pain of separation, she writes about the point at which leaving becomes essential to recovering a damaged sense of self.

That distinction gives the song its identity. This is not a plea for reconciliation or a romanticised final embrace. The narrator recognises that trust has disappeared and chooses an uncertain future over remaining in a relationship that has become emotionally destructive.

RinatNevo sings with control rather than theatrical excess. Her voice retains an intimate, human quality even as the production grows around it, ensuring that the emotional perspective never becomes secondary to the drop.

From Cinematic Piano to 138 BPM Release

Richard Durand builds the production around the song rather than using the vocal as decoration. Piano establishes the vulnerable centre, leaving enough space for the words to register before the arrangement begins to widen.

The club framework then introduces a firm kick, driving bass foundation and steadily expanding synth layers. At 138 BPM, the track has unmistakable peak-time energy, but Durand avoids making it unnecessarily abrasive. The rhythmic pressure supports the emotional transformation: sadness begins to move, tension becomes momentum and the eventual drop feels like liberation rather than escape.

G♭ major reinforces that direction. Although the lyric emerges from heartbreak, the harmonic language does not remain in darkness. Bright melodic layers gradually change the emotional temperature, allowing the track to acknowledge the pain of leaving while still looking forward.

An Exceptional Pre-Release Response

The track’s journey through A State Of Trance was remarkable. Armin van Buuren selected it as Tune Of The Week in episode 1280. Audience voting subsequently made it the Future Favorite in episode 1281, before it returned as the Trending Track one week later.

“Goodbye My Love” also appears in the Frequency mix of A State Of Trance, Ibiza 2026. Positioned among the compilation’s emotional and uplifting selections, it has effectively moved from an anticipated ID to one of the season’s most strongly supported Vocal Trance releases.

TranceAttack Verdict

“Goodbye My Love” turns the end of a relationship into the beginning of self-recovery. RinatNevo gives the track its emotional truth, while Richard Durand converts that vulnerability into a patient, powerful and highly functional 138 BPM journey.

Its architecture is recognisably traditional, but its storytelling is unusually coherent. The piano, vocal, driving rhythm and euphoric release all represent different stages of the same decision: accepting the pain of leaving in order to rediscover the person who was lost along the way.

The result is a beautifully controlled Vocal Trance anthem—personal enough for solitary listening, yet large enough to become a shared festival moment.
