The German Trance veteran makes his Outburst Records debut with a brooding 140 BPM production designed for the deepest part of the night.

Ronski Speed has spent decades shaping a catalogue rich in uplifting melodies, emotional vocals and unmistakable German Trance craftsmanship. With “Brillion,” however, he turns towards a markedly darker destination. Released on August 14th, 2026, the instrumental single marks his debut on Outburst Records—and sounds entirely at home within the label’s harder-edged universe.

A different side of Ronski Speed

“Brillion” does not chase the warmth or emotional release associated with many of Ronski Speed’s best-known productions. Instead, the track builds its identity from chilling chord colours, powerful synth pressure, dark stabs and a driving sub-bass foundation.

At 140 BPM, the rhythm is immediate and uncompromising. The kick and bass combination creates a dense forward pull, while the surrounding percussion keeps the groove precise rather than overloaded. This is Tech-Trance with purpose: dark enough to fit the Outburst catalogue, yet sufficiently controlled to retain Ronski Speed’s characteristic production discipline.

Progressive tension meets Tech-Trance power

Beneath its harder surface, “Brillion” carries a hypnotic progressive quality. Its harmonic elements emerge gradually, creating an atmosphere that feels more menacing than euphoric. The synth work increases the pressure without turning the track into an indiscriminate wall of sound.

The breakdown continues that approach. Instead of opening into a sentimental hands-in-the-air moment, it preserves the tension through cold chords and suspended energy. When the full rhythm returns, the impact comes from accumulated pressure rather than an oversized melodic reveal.

Built for the hours after midnight

Outburst Records describes “Brillion” as a track for those sweaty 4am moments, and that positioning is accurate. This is not a sunrise anthem or an emotional closing record. It belongs beneath strobes, inside a dark room and at the point where atmosphere becomes almost as important as melody.

The production’s greatest strength is its consistency. Every element contributes to the same brooding, nocturnal character. The trade-off is that its central motif feels more functional than instantly iconic. A more distinctive melodic turn could have given the track an additional layer of personality beyond its formidable club impact.

TranceAttack Verdict

“Brillion” is a confident and convincing change of direction from Ronski Speed. By combining his polished Trance foundations with Outburst’s darker Tech-Trance aesthetic, he delivers a powerful late-night weapon that values tension, propulsion and atmosphere over easy euphoria. It may not contain the most memorable melody of his career, but in the right part of a set, its hypnotic pressure should be extremely effective.
