Originally released in 1997, Starparty’s “I’m In Love” returned in 1999 with a defining remix by the project’s creators, Ferry Corsten and Robert Smit. Built around elements of Gwen Guthrie’s “Peanut Butter”, the remix combines an instantly memorable vocal hook with soaring melodies and the euphoric energy of golden-era Dutch Trance. Its UK release reached No. 26 on the Official Singles Chart and topped the Dance Singles Chart in February 2000.
Its enduring appeal lies in the balance between melodic emotion, driving club energy and a distinctive vocal identity — qualities that continue to define the golden era of Trance. More than two decades later, this remains a standout example of the sound that helped define Trance at the turn of the millennium.
