Released in 2000, Taiko‘s “Silence” captures a distinctive moment in the golden era of Trance, when harder club sounds frequently crossed genre boundaries. Produced by Stephan Bodzin and Oliver Huntemann, the track followed their earlier Taiko release “Die Blechtrommel” and combined driving rhythms, tribal influences and hypnotic dancefloor tension. Originally issued on Slotmachine, “Silence” later gained further exposure through Hard Trance remixes and international releases. More rhythm-driven than the uplifting anthems of its time, it remains a fascinating reminder of how diverse the Trance scene was at the turn of the millennium.
