Originally released on Fog Area Trance in 2001, Tillmann Uhrmacher’s “On The Run” captures the melodic, progressive-leaning sound of early-2000s club Trance. The Ocean To Shore Club Mix combines a driving 138 BPM rhythm with an atmospheric melodic theme and the energy of an extended DJ arrangement. Co-written and produced with Stefan Fornaro, the track also achieved remarkable commercial success: in 2002, “On The Run” reached No. 16 on the UK Singles Chart and topped the UK Dance Singles Chart. More than two decades later, it remains a memorable example of Germany’s golden-era Trance sound.
