Her 2023 album, ‘Ghost Of The Light,’ which revolves around the theme of recollection, takes this introspection to new heights.
In a stark contrast to her recent collaboration with Solarstone on ‘Children,’ a track that beautifully encapsulates the essence of youth, innocence, and freedom, Emma Hewitt’s latest offering, ‘Fallen,’ marks her first collaboration with Roman Messer. ‘Fallen’ steps into the shadows, addressing the theme of desensitization in the modern world, and raising the poignant question of what happens when we lose our ability to feel.
Regarding ‘Fallen,’ Emma Hewitt shared the creative genesis behind it. She explaines, ” ‘Fallen’ originated during my time living in Los Angeles with my brother. A friend of ours, Michael Tuller, was working on a Tarantino-style film called VANish. We had this intriguing idea to craft a track featuring Spaghetti Western-style jangly guitars, classic Hollywood strings, and drum sounds reminiscent of gunshots. The song aims to explore the depths of human capability when one becomes completely numb to their emotions. Initially featured on the VANish soundtrack, we decided to revisit ‘Fallen’ for ‘Ghost Of The Light,’ adding some additional production. Strangely enough, even though the song takes a different path, it seemed to organically align with the album’s overarching theme.”
To transform ‘Fallen’ into a club-ready anthem, Emma Hewitt joined forces with Roman Messer, the head of Suanda Records. Their collaborative efforts in the studio have given birth to a dancefloor masterpiece that seamlessly blends emotionally charged lyrics with a formidable main melody, promising to elevate the energy in any club where it’s unleashed, and perhaps even lift the roof off with its infectious intensity. Emma Hewitt and Roman Messer have masterfully crafted a track that not only resonates with its lyrical depth but also promises an electrifying and unforgettable experience on the dance floor.
