When Blueprint landed back in 2017, it quietly rewired expectations of what a trance-adjacent electronic album could be. Less a single vehicle, more a continuous, narrative-driven experience, it leaned into transitions, pacing, and emotional flow rather than peak-time immediacy. Now, nine years on, Ferry Corsten revisits that vision with Blueprint Reprinted — not as a nostalgia exercise, but as a contemporary re-contextualisation of one of his most conceptually important works.

Rather than simply remastering the originals, Corsten curates a carefully chosen group of modern artists to reinterpret six key moments from Blueprint. The result feels like a dialogue between eras: the architectural ideas of 2017, rebuilt with 2026’s club sonics, tempos, and production weight.

Reprints, not remixes

The journey opens with Ferry himself, revisiting “Reanimate”. Once defined by slow-burn drama, the new extended reprint sharpens the edges: higher energy, refined synth work and the reintroduction of Clairity’s cascading vocals give the track a renewed sense of urgency, clearly aimed at prime-time floors rather than late-night introspection Ferry Corsten – Blueprint Repri….

From there, the baton is handed to Giuseppe Ottaviani, whose take on “Drum’s A Weapon” does exactly what you’d expect — and then some. Stripped back to its functional core before being rebuilt with relentless percussion and laser-cut sequencing, this is the most overtly club-driven moment on the record, a reminder of Ottaviani’s ability to turn concepts into weapons-grade dancefloor tools.

Italian producer Frankyeffe pushes “Trust” into darker territory, transforming what was once an overture-style piece into a late-night pressure cut. Heavy low-end propulsion and tightly coiled tension give the track a kinetic, warehouse-ready feel that contrasts sharply — and effectively — with its original cinematic openness.

Progressive gravity at the core

The album’s midpoint tilts toward progressive nuance. Hel:sløwed reimagines “Wherever You Are”, originally a delicate balance of heartbreak and hope with HALIENE. The reprint trades overt emotion for atmosphere: filmic textures, tempered builds and deep, breathing basslines that pull the listener inward rather than lifting them skyward Ferry Corsten – Blueprint Repri….

Matt Fax takes on the title track “Blueprint”, stretching its motifs across rolling grooves and reverb-soaked effects. It’s less about instant payoff and more about immersion—a slow-burn redefinition that fits seamlessly into modern progressive sets while respecting the track’s original DNA.

Closing duties fall to Genix, whose version of “Eternity” starts with housified momentum before unfolding into something far more hypnotic. Sub-melodies cast long shadows, the atmosphere thickens, and the track patiently blooms into an intense, late-set finale that feels both modern and timeless.

Final thoughts

Blueprint Reprinted succeeds because it understands the difference between revision and reinterpretation. This isn’t about updating classics for the sake of relevance; it’s about re-examining a forward-thinking album through the lens of today’s club culture. Ferry Corsten’s curatorial hand is evident throughout — cohesive, intentional, and deeply respectful of the original concept.

As a companion piece to Blueprint, this release adds depth to the album’s legacy while standing confidently on its own. Whether you experienced the original in 2017 or are discovering its architecture for the first time, Blueprint Reprinted feels like a living document — one that continues to evolve with the scene it helped shape.

Ferry Corsten’s Reprint EP of his 4th artist album “Blueprint”, “Blueprint Reprinted,” will be released on January 30th, 2026.
