Their one-off classic “Carte Blanche” soared to #22 on the UK Singles Chart, showcasing de Moor’s melodic finesse (known since “Flowtation”) and Corsten’s emerging production prowess.
Vincent de Moor, born in 1973 in Delft, made a name in trance under aliases like Fix To Fax, finding chart success with “Flowtation” in 1996. Ferry Corsten, also born in 1973 in Rotterdam, had already begun laying trance foundations under System F and Moonman, winning Producer of the Year in 1999 for his work, including “Carte Blanche”.
Fast forward to July 11, 2025: the track is reborn on Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance label as a supercharged 132 BPM remix that connects trance lineage with modern energy.
Norwegian trance powerhouse Orjan Nilsen, celebrating two decades in the scene, brings a modern twist to this anthem. Known for his crisp productions and energetic melody lines, Nilsen injects “Carte Blanche” with a clean, propulsive swing:
