After a four-year absence, the pseudonym of Dakota ascends to prominence; as Markus Schulz lays his introverted-laden tendencies bare again. A new techno-inspired era for the alias begins in tribute to a place and time of morning in which he finds inner peace – “Avalon 6AM”.
Following his ambitious and acclaimed cinematic presentation “The Nine Skies”, the focus of Dakota shifts back to the intimate nightclub terrain; with an emphasis on the small hours of the weird and wonderful. And much like the nod of his spiritual hometown venue of Space in Miami a decade ago with Terrace 5am, his connection with the Los Angeles venue has been a signature of his career; with his open to close marathons cemented in DJ folklore.
Having been a staple of his livesets since venues reopened throughout 2021, this techno-trance fusion is sure to stir the emotions of euphoria shared on dancefloors, no matter what time of night it emanates. Come 6am on a Saturday night into Sunday morning at Avalon in Hollywood, it’s where Markus Schulz, and specifically Dakota, thrives within this wonderful domain.
